Next May 3rd, LIFE GySTRA project organises an event in Madrid with the main objective of publishing the actions which are being carried out in the framework of this European project and, thus, backing the efforts of European Union to improve the air quality in members countries. Since ‘Dieselgate’ scandal came to light, the European Parliament requested to European states to ‘establish remote monitoring systems for the fleet to identify and control excessively polluting vehicles’. These vehicles are responsible for the 80% of the total pollution generated by traffic.

LIFE GySTRA project, led by CARTIF, pretends to solve this problem throughout the creation of a global system to quantify the car’s emissions in real traffic situations. This solution is not only to control them, but to support the creation of a common policy in order to get a reduction. The project is going to design a RSD+ (Remote Sensing Device), which measures vehicle emissions remotely with guarantee of accuracy.

In the event, the project team will explain this technology and show the expected results after its application.

The conference will take place May 3rd 2018, in Madrid (Paseo de la Castellana, 46).
